Happy August long weekend to readers from many places in Canada. Today’s post will be brief as I, too, try to enjoy the last days of this summer hiatus—before the rhythm picks up this month. The Quebec general election and Alberta referendum will for sure keep us busy.

The Liberals slipped below the 200-seat mark for the first time in months, but still hold a commanding lead in the seat projection with an average of 197 seats, against 106 for the Conservatives.

The Bloc Québécois averages 24 seats and the NDP ,14.
