Canadians view the move to dole out $250 cheques and institute a GST holiday as vote-buying measures

With the holidays around the corner, Canadians are ramping up their spending this season, and so are the federal Liberals in hopes of earning back the support of Canadians ahead of next year’s election.

Canadians will see some goods exempted from the GST later this month, alongside a $250 cheque courtesy of the federal government. However, despite the holiday gift giving from the feds, Canadians don’t seem to be buying it.
