After losing a significant portion of its electorate to the Parti Québécois (PQ) in 2023, the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) now finds itself under pressure on a second front—from the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) and its new leader, Pablo Rodriguez. A new poll conducted by Pallas Data for L’actualité and 338Canada in the wake of Rodriguez’s leadership victory gives the Liberals an 11-point lead over the CAQ for second place.

According to Pallas, the PQ leads the field with 31% of support across Quebec. However, a Liberal bounce has narrowed that gap considerably: back in March (Pallas’ previous Quebec poll), Paul St-Pierre Plamondon’s PQ held a 10-point lead. That margin has now been halved.
