As the 2024 NATO summit wraps up in Washington, Canada’s allies have been left wondering whether Canada will step up its game and push its defence spending to the NATO recommended 2% of GDP.

While Trudeau has stated that his government is on track to hit that spending target by 2032, where do Canadians stand on increasing military spending in Canada? Let’s take a look at recent polling from Nanos Research and the Angus Reid Institute to answer that.
