As the federal Liberal Party searches for its next leader, new polling from Research Co. sheds light on how Canadians view the potential contenders.

While the leadership race won’t conclude until March 9, the numbers already suggest one candidate has an early advantage in public perception. However, as the pollster notes, many voters are taking a wait-and-see approach to federal politics.

Carney Stays on Top Among Liberal Candidates

Mark Carney leads the field, with 43% of Canadians viewing him favourably, compared to 27% who hold an unfavourable opinion. A significant 30% remain uncertain or unfamiliar with him.
