Pallas Data: PQ Leads CAQ by 12 points
New poll suggests François Legault has yet to recover lost ground to the PQ.
The Parti Québécois (PQ) has taken advantage of Parliament’s return to consolidate its lead over the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ). The CAQ’s summer rebound in the polls seems to have dissipated, according to a new Pallas Data survey conducted for 338Canada and L’actualité magazine.
Six years to the day after the CAQ came to power (October 1, 2018), and at the halfway mark of François Legault's second term, the party’s stagnating support is primarily benefiting the Parti Québécois. So much so that, according to this new data, leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon would likely be heading a majority government if an election were held this fall.
