Year-end Nanos polling shows Canadians far more positive about both the federal government and the country’s direction.

As we kick off the new year, Canadians appear to have ended the previous one on a high note when it comes to their views of the federal government and the direction of the country.

Nanos’ year-end polling found that 53% of Canadians say the current performance of the federal government is either very good or good, up sharply from 14% at the end of 2024, when Justin Trudeau was still prime minister.
