Majority of Quebec Voters Want Legault to Step Down Before 2026 Election
New Quebec polling from Pallas Data measures little appetite for Legault to seek a third term.
François Legault has often repeated that he would remain premier and run for re-election in 2026… if he feels he has “the backing of Quebecers”.
Just past the mid-point of Legault’s second mandate, the numbers do not look for the Quebec Premier. A new and exclusive Quebec poll from Pallas Data (conducted for 338Canada and L’actualité magazine) shows that a majority of Quebecers believe that the Premier should resign before the next election.
