Alberta alienation is unquestionably one of the main takeaways from the federal Liberals’ fourth consecutive win last month. As we discussed last week, polling continues to show a noticeable uptick in support for Alberta independence. The idea of an Alberta separation referendum, while still the purview of a minority, is a topic that deserves to be taken attention—especially given its near-exclusive support on one side of the political spectrum.

This week, it was Léger’s turn to weigh in. The firm surveyed 1,000 Albertans between May 9 and 12 on questions of identity and separatism.
