Léger: Do You Believe in Angels?
A new poll finds Canadians more likely to believe in angels, ghosts and psychic powers than in the undead.
Do you believe in angels?
Nearly half of Canadians do, according to a new — and seasonally essential — Léger poll.
What about vampires? Or psychic powers? Or witches?
Most polls measure voting intentions, leader favourability, or views on public policy. But last week, Léger asked its national panel whether Canadians believe in ghosts, witches, angels, and even zombies. (Spoiler: zombies are losing badly — no undead bounce in the numbers.)
And while opinions on fiscal policy, the carbon tax and cultural debates often divide Canadians, so do beliefs in the afterlife — and in paranormal forces walking among us.
The question was simple: “Do you believe in the following phenomena?”
