Is Support for Ukraine Becoming a Partisan Issue?

It’s been nearly two years since Russian forces crossed the border into Ukraine and launched their invasion of the nation. In those two years, the world has borne witness to the horrors of war, while the people of Ukraine continue to fight for their sovereignty (Never mind the eight years that preceded this invasion with fighting in the Donbass).

Canada, among many others Western countries, has been instrumental in Ukraine’s ability to withstand the Russian invasion. Without supplies from the west, both humanitarian and military, who knows what the outcome of the war would be (well, we have an idea).

Yet, as we approach the two-year anniversary of the invasion, polls show Canadians’ support of Ukraine is starting to fracture, and CPC voters are more likely to agree that Canada is providing too much aid to Ukraine.
