As reports swirl about the United States potentially taking action against its fellow NATO member Denmark over Greenland, Canadians are still processing the American military intervention in Venezuela earlier this month.

A new Léger survey asked Canadians how their opinion of the U.S. government has changed following the operation in Venezuela and the subsequent kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro.

Overall, 56% of Canadians say their opinion of the American government has worsened in light of those events, while just 9% say it has improved. Another 21% report no change in their view of Washington.
