A tightening? Perhaps, but not where the Conservatives need it.

With just five days remaining in the 2025 federal campaign, the latest polling from the first half of the week shows no significant shifts in voter intentions. Yes, the numbers do fluctuate—that’s the nature of statistics—but any apparent “tightening” in the race is mostly due to a modest rebound for the Bloc Québécois in Quebec and the NDP in British Columbia.

It now appears that both the Liberals and Conservatives may have reached their ceiling of support. Unfortunately for Pierre Poilievre and his team, the CPC’s ceiling appears to be near the 40% mark—three to four points shy of the Liberals.
