Overview:

Over the last couple of months, the Conservatives have held a steady lead over the Liberals. Some polls have had the Conservatives sitting comfortably with a commanding lead while others are less so, but still to the dismay of Liberals.

The widest margin came from EKOS’ latest polling where the Conservatives held a 19-point lead. Suffice it to say, if EKOS’ poll was accurate on the day of an election, it would be an extremely strong majority for the Conservatives. Yet, of course, we deal with outliers by sticking them into the aggregation with others.

But what’s more interesting about these polls are deeper in the crosstabs. When looking at the gender divide, there’s a clear difference that has only recently started to break.
