Canadians Wary on Immigration, Bullish on Big National Projects
Pessimism over next generation’s prospects contrasts with enthusiasm for major infrastructure in new Nanos survey.
Fresh polling from Nanos Research offers a snapshot of Canadian attitudes on immigration, the future standard of living, and major infrastructure projects. The results suggest that while Canadians remain pessimistic about asylum seekers and the economic outlook for the next generation, there is strong appetite for moving ahead with large-scale national projects.
The first question asked whether the federal government should be more or less welcoming toward asylum seekers crossing into Canada from the United States.
