Historically, Canadians have viewed their southern neighbours with a level of camaraderie rarely seen elsewhere in the world. From the longest unguarded border on the planet to deeply interconnected economies, Canadians in general have seldom expressed long-lasting negativity toward the United States.

But with the second Trump administration in full swing — and with talk of annexation and economic domination now openly floated — Canadian attitudes are shifting fast.

New polling from Research Co. shows Canadians are souring on the United States at a rapid pace, even as their views of other nations remain relatively stable.
