New polling from Abacus Data offers fresh insight into how Canadians view Prime Minister Mark Carney’s approach to the current trade dispute with the United States — and whether a better deal with Donald Trump is even possible.

Among Canadians who saw or read about Carney’s recent visit to Washington, two-thirds (66%) believe the meeting went well, while 29% think it went poorly.
