338 Sunday Update: T’was the Polls Before Christmas
Freeland exits, Blanchet grins, Liberals sink, Conservatives climb.
T’was three days before Christmas, and this poll aggregator,
Was still busy crunching fresh numbers,
The Finance Minister left the government in tatters,
She wouldn’t go quietly, just to be replaced by some banker.
With such news, the polls kept pouring,
They showed the Liberals fading into the night,
Poor Yves-François Blanchet couldn’t stop laughing,
Knowing Quebec would soon be his outright.
The NDP leader waited for the House to rise,
To shout from the rafters that he’d had enough,
Will he, by January, have kept his eyes on the prize?
As he sure talked tough, but was it all a bluff?
As for the Conservatives, yet again they’d have to wait,
To discover just how Poilievre would win his crown,
Will it be with “Bring it home” and “Verb the Noun”?
Or by saying that Canada, once again, he’d make great?
It was a busy week for polls, which poured in with several dramatic twists in Ottawa. Let’s review the numbers and update the 338Canada federal projection.
