Federal polls were aplenty last week, including several from the country’s top-rated firms, so let us dive right into it.

The latest Nanos Research weekly update (national numbers were not paywalled this week) raised many eyebrows, as it showed a 19-point Conservative lead over both the Liberals and NDP. From coast to coast, Nanos measures CPC support at 41%, while the Liberals and NDP are both tied at 22%. See Nanos’ report here (regional numbers not shown to respect Nanos’ paywall).

Vancouver-based polling firm Research Co. showed similar overall numbers, with Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives leading the field with 38%, as Liberals (24%) and NDP (21%) battle for second and third place. See Research Co.’s full report here.

Wednesday morning saw both Léger and Ipsos release their latest federal figures, and while some regional breakdowns differed, overall numbers and trends remained within current intervals. Both firms measured CPC support at 40% among decided voters, respectively 14 points (Léger) and 16 points (Ipsos) ahead of the Liberals.

Here are the main regional numbers. First, Ontario:

  • Léger: CPC 41%, LPC 28%, NDP 22%;

  • Ipsos: CPC 39%, LPC 24%, NDP 24%;

  • Research Co.: CPC 42%, LPC 27%, NDP 22%.

Second, Quebec:

  • Léger: Bloc 32%, LPC 28%, CPC 24%;

  • Ipsos: Bloc 32%, LPC 28%, CPC 23%;

  • Research Co.: Bloc 34%, LPC 29%, CPC 16%.

Finally, British Columbia:

  • Léger: CPC 35%, NDP 35%, LPC 25%;

  • Ipsos: CPC 48%, NDP 25%, LPC 19%;

  • Research Co.: CPC 45%, NDP 29%, LPC 18%.

So what are we to make of these latest numbers?
