Happy Sunday morning, dear 338Canada readers,

Prime Minister Mark Carney is scheduled to visit Washington this week to meet with the American administration — an event that will likely eclipse everything else in our political bubble.

While polls show many Canadians expressing fatigue with the constant Trump-everything-all-the-time narrative in the news, the state of the Canada–U.S. trade relationship remains a crucial issue north of the border, as it continues to affect virtually every other top-of-mind concern — most notably the cost of living, employment, and the overall state of the economy.

What did federal polls tell us last week? Let’s dive in.

Also: new provincial data from Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador, and fresh numbers from Alberta’s mayoral races.

Welcome to the 338 Sunday update.
