338 B.C. Update: Conservatives Pull Ahead
The latest Angus Reid Institute poll gives the Conservatives a ten-point lead over David Eby’s New Democrats.
The B.C. New Democrats and Premier David Eby could be in serious public opinion trouble. With their Conservative rivals set to choose a permanent leader at the end of the month, the NDP now trails the Conservative Party of British Columbia by 10 points in the latest poll from the Angus Reid Institute (ARI).
Compared to ARI’s previous B.C. survey, the NDP slipped six points — movement well beyond the poll’s estimated margin of error — while the Greens climbed four points. As for the Conservatives, they ticked up from 44% to 46% province-wide. The poll was fielded from April 24 to 28, 2026, among a sample of n = 804 B.C. voters.
While more data will be needed to fully confirm the trend, polls fielded since the new year by Léger and Pallas Data have also pointed to a modest tightening of the race at the top.
