Almost one year into the UCP's second mandate, numbers show little movement in public opinion in Alberta compared to 2023

New Alberta polls from Léger and Pallas Data were released in the past days. Both surveys showed Danielle Smith’s UCP leading the ANDP in voting intentions by similar margins (Léger: UCP +8, Pallas: UCP +7 among decided voters).

In fact, data shows there has been little province-wide movement in public opinion since the May 2023 general election in the province (see complete list of Alberta polls here).

Where the polls do differ however is in Calgary: While Pallas Data measured a narrow 3-point gap in favour of the United Conservatives (47% UCP against 44% NDP), Léger sees a massive 18-point advantage for Danielle Smith’s party — 54% UCP, 36% NDP.
